Beginning Class - This course covers the fundamentals of stained glass art.  All tools & supplies for a suncatcher are furnished during class time; students will need to purchase glass and vase cap for a small lampshade. Retail value of projects made during this course (suncatcher & lampshade) exceeds the cost of the course itself. Lamp base is not included.   5 Sessions.  Safety glasses needed. Bring your own or purchase here.

Plated Panels -


         

 

Fused Pictures in Glass  - In this class you will utilize different components of glass such as frit, stringers, confetti and pre-fired pieces to create a one of a kind fused picture in glass. Glass cutting experience is necessary.  3 Sessions

Introduction to Glass Fusing - Learn basic techniques and terminology relating to glass fusing and firing.  Design projects using multiple layers of glass and learn to drape a project on a mold.  4 Sessions.  Project book included in price.

Condensed Stained Glass Class - For those who cannot make the five sessions of our regular beginning class, or would like to take a stained glass refresher class, we offer this one-day intensive Stained Glass course. Students will take home a completed beautiful suncatcher.  1 Session. Fee covers cost of all materials. Tools are furnished for the day. SAT. Safety glasses needed.  Bring your own, or purchase here. NOTE:  We can also set up a Condensed Class for a group of family or friends on a day suited to your schedule.

Copper Foil Panel - Intermediate Class - This course instructs students who are continuing to pursue stained glass. Students will learn advanced copper-foil techniques by producing a panel suitable for hanging or installation.  Student must have previous stained glass experience and will need to own basic tools.   5 Sessions 

 Panel Lampshade Intermediate Class - During this course students will learn techniques and tips for producing a panel lampshade. Previous stained glass experience is necessary and students must have their own tools.  It is recommended that the pattern and glass should be chosen before class begins. 5 Sessions 

 Lead Came Panel - Advanced Class - This course instructs students on the use of lead came for a large panel.  The class includes a project which will be completed during the class and for which all materials are provided. Students must have previous stained glass experience and will need to own basic tools. 5 Sessions 

Tiffany Style Form Lamp - Advanced Class - Create a "Tiffany" Style Lampshade that you or someone in your family will treasure for many years to come.  Students will learn the techniques required to create a masterpiece. Previous stained glass experience is necessary and student must own basic tools. The class will meet five times over an extended period.  5 Sessions. Classes will be scheduled as requested. Form and Pattern should be chosen prior to class.  Students  who want to join the class later than the starting date can schedule a private class to catch up with the class. Class Plus - This class is designed to give people an opportunity to work on projects in a structured environment. This is the perfect time to try something different or more difficult in stained glass, so that if problems arise, there is a teacher available to help or to suggest the best method of tackling a project. Please inquire about projects to work on in the class.  THURS. 10-12 (Running Continuously)

Fused Jewelry - Expand your knowledge and interest in jewelry by learning techniques to create beautiful jewelry pieces. Class will include tips on the use of dichroic glass, layering glass, use of frit, noodles, stringers and Wasser glass.  Class includes firings.
 
Fusing with Dichroic Glass - Increase your knowledge of dichroic glass. Learn techniques using dichroic glass to achieve greater depth perception and texture in jewelry making and fusing.  Class projects include jewelry pieces and a display piece. 3 Sessions. Includes all materials and firings.


Stepping Stones - One of the hottest items in Stained Glass today. Learn to create a great looking stepping stone for your home or garden. Using  Diamondcrete has revolutionized making stepping stones; stones can be turned out in a matter of an hour or two instead of days. Students need to know how to cut and grind glass and have basic glass cutting tools.  2 Sessions.

Mosaics - Learn to create a stained glass project without foiling and soldering! This class instructs students in the art of gluing and grouting glass in a variety of applications to create wonderful and different stained glass projects. The Mosaic Cutter will be demonstrated and suggestions given for the leftover pieces of glass we just can't throw away. No previous stained glass experience is necessary.   2 Sessions.

Box Class - Learn the techniques in constructing a box with a hinged lid. Students will use bevels for the sides of the box and a copper foil design for the top.  Previous stained glass experience is necessary and students must own basic tools.

To hold your space, all classes require a non-refundable deposit of $30.00.  Payment in full is required for all workshops.

** LOOKING FOR A SPECIAL CLASS, but don’t see it on our schedule?  ASK!!!  We frequently schedule classes based on student requests. Class Students receive a 10% discount on glass and materials during class sessions. We use lead solder and lead came; expectant mothers or women who may be pregnant should consult their physicians prior to scheduling classes.  Sorry, we cannot give refunds or issue credits for missed classes.  During inclement weather, we may cancel classes and schedule a make-up day - students will be responsible for attending make-up class.
